Marcela Correra

Marcela Correa is an independent curator based in New Orleans. She holds two Masters of Art: one in Contemporary Art from Sotheby’s Institute of Art in London and the other in The History and Business of Art and Collecting from the Institut d’Etudes Supérieures des Arts/Warwick University in Paris and London. She has worked in several galleries, ranging from antiquities to contemporary art, such as Galerie Kugel in Paris, Sprovieri Gallery and Ronchini Gallery in London and most recently at Jonathan Ferrara Gallery in New Orleans. She was also the part-time director of the Arts District of New Orleans and is now working as an art consignment director at Crescent City Auction Gallery.

Mardell Culley

Mardell Culley began his broadcasting career at WSSD, a community radio station in Chicago, and later joined the #1 station in the market WBMX-FM. He has worked as a station manager, program director, and on-air personality in several medium and large markets, including Atlanta and Macon, Georgia; Memphis; and Jackson, Tennessee, and has produced several award-winning formats including R&B, Rock & Roll, Country, Jazz, and Blues.

Asher Griffin

Asher Griffith is a sound designer and composer living in New Orleans LA. He holds a Master of Music from the University of Arkansas and is the Executive Director of Cicada Radio, an audio storytelling network focused on equity, environmental justice & artistic expression. He never uses Oxford commas anymore and finds writing about himself in the third person exceedingly awkward. He has attached a picture of himself to this email.

Amy Irvin

Amy Irvin is the co-founder and former Executive Director of the New Orleans Abortion Fund. She has worked at abortion clinics in New Orleans and Atlanta, and was recognized as the Volunteer of the Year by Planned Parenthood of Kentucky in 2006. She earned her Master of Science in Social Work at the University of Louisville, where she researched the impact of parental consent laws for minors at the ACLU of Kentucky Reproductive Freedom Project, and a Bachelor of Arts in Philosophy from Agnes Scott College. After undergraduate school she taught English as a Second Language, coordinated World Refugee Day activities, and developed a refugee childcare program at the International Rescue Committee. She’s also a former union organizer with the United Food and Commercial Workers, organizing grocery store workers in Arizona and Indiana. Her passions include modern art and mid-century modern furniture.

Jessie Nieblas

Jessie Nieblas received her Master of Public Health from Tulane University in the Department of Global Community Health and Behavioral Science and her Bachelor of Arts from the University of California at Santa Barbara in Women's Studies.  In her 10 years of work on sexual violence prevention and intervention, reproductive health and rights, and health care access, Jessie has designed, implemented, and evaluated programs; conducted outreach and engagement efforts with diverse communities; and raised funds through direct appeals, grants, and events.  She has served as co-chair of Take Back the Night at UCSB, volunteered on RAINN's Online Hotline, and co-founded a fund to provide financial assistance to women needing reproductive health care in New Orleans.  Jessie is a California native who enjoys travelling and cooking.

Kendra Smith-Parks

Born and raised in Fort Walton Beach, Florida, Kendra Smith-Parks attended the University of Southern Mississippi where received her BA in Journalism. After graduation, she moved to New Orleans in 2017, where she worked for The Times-Picayune as a community news fellow for a year. She then went off to work for WVUE Fox 8 as a digital content producer. Following her journalism experience, she joined Gambel Communications where she developed her communications skills working for many nonprofits throughout Louisiana. Following the Supreme Court leak, Kendra joined Planned Parenthood Gulf Coast Louisiana where she works as the Communications Manager. Kendra is passionate about repro justice, supporting her community, racial justice and equality and ensuring the people of the South have the resources they need. When she isn’t working, Kendra enjoys biking, baking, crafting and volunteering in the community!
